Roman Ruins

Looking back, I'm not too sure about these gray leggings; they aren't all that flattering really! These photos were actually taken by Rosie for her next project, hence why I look so miserable; it was specified. I'm naturally a quite happy person, promise! These were taken at the Roman Ruins in Caerleon; the amphitheater and everything. These past few days I've not been up to much. I've finished all my assignments for Uni for now and I don't have another one due for a month or so, and it isn't even up for me to look at or start yet, sigh. On thursday I'm going to visit Edd up in Stoke though, which I'm really looking forward to, if a bit nervous about...

Please take a look, some lovely new dresses in stock and lots of things still waiting to be snapped up!

Brighten Up

The last few days' lack of outfit posting has been a combination of several things; working on essay, missing edd and horrid weather. All these point to super boring comfort clothes, so this is my first 'me' outfit in a while. I missed being me! I've been washing my hair every day at the moment because the heating being on always makes me feel grotty at home, hence the huge amount of fading since last time! It needs a touch-up already. Today I go back to Uni, off to the pub tonight then tomorrow I'm going to see Reel Big Fish with my lovely flatmates. So exciteeedd!

Wishful S/S Thinking

Recently I've been really craving sunny spring-summer weather. I can't wait for the grass to be lush and green, blue skies and white clouds! This summer I might stay in Caerleon, which means there's the old roman amphitheatre where I can go for picnics with Edd and my housemates. It will be just perfect. And obviously with thought of sunny weather, my mind turns to summery sundresses, cute sandals and delicate necklaces! There's so many gorgeous summer pretties on the market already I might need to apply for a credit card to fund my dress obsession, especially with this many floral prints floating around. Here's some of my favourite imaginary s/s outfits for this year;

The Pier

This weekend (and into next week) I'm home. I got to see Edd today and yesterday before he jets off to Finland for snowboarding with his family which was lovely and we had a late Valentines in proper WSM fashion; on the pier, eating chip-shop chips. It was wonderful, but ever so windy! Please ignore my super crazy windswept hair, haha.

Words and Pictures (well, mostly words)

I decided to jump on the bandwagon and do a little 'dialect' videopost like everyone else in the blogosphere (well, a couple people anyway); My voice is kinda weird I know, I'm slightly icky this morning and that definitely shows. Oh, and sorry about the high pitched 'keening' noise, it's the silly webcam ^_^;

What to do;

Say these words:
Aunt, Route, Wash, Oil, Theater, Iron, Salmon, Caramel, Fire, Water, Sure, Data, Ruin, Crayon, Toilet, New Orleans, Pecan, Both, Again, Probably, Spitting image, Alabama, Lawyer, Coupon, Mayonnaise, Syrup, Pajamas, Caught

Now answer these questions:
What is it called when you throw toilet paper on a house?
What is the bug that when you touch it, it curls into a ball?
What is the bubbly carbonated drink called?
What do you call gym shoes?
What do you say to address a group of people?
What do you call the kind of spider that has an oval-shaped body and extremely long legs?
What do you call your grandparents?
What do you call the wheeled contraption in which you carry groceries at the supermarket?
What do you call it when rain falls while the sun is shining?
What is the thing you change the TV channel with?

Illustration & Dancing

There's no actual traditional outfit photo because I look slightly worse for wear today; not due to drinking (I rarely if ever drink and can't at the moment anyway) but I only got to bed at about 4am and woke up at 10am! Not very much sleep there really, there's black bags under my eyes of epic proportions and I've run out of makeup wipes so I'm wearing half of last night's mascara still too! So I hope this illustration will do; it's sort of a collage because I was feeling lazy and just took pictures of the patterns I'm wearing and photoshopped them in, hehe c: It was an excellent night though, the first time I'd been out in months, lots of dancing to awesome ska and rock music. Here's a picture of us from last night (including the lovely Rosie) taken by the club promoter;

Polka Spots

Today is my lovely flatmate Ams' birthday, and to celebrate we are having Dominos (nom) and then are off out to this awesome Ska/Rock club in Newport. It should be lots of fun! :3 I spent the morning in town before heading off to the doctors (yay super strength painkillers!) so this outfit post is courtesy of River Island Changing Room, where I tried on a lovely lacy skirt that unfortunately didn't fit. I'm wearing my new fave cardi again c: Oh, and I changed my hair! It's kinda ombre-ish with graduations from purple through to pink. I like it lots

Illustrated Me

This post is entirely to showcase the absolutely wonderful gift I received in my inbox earlier today; this adorable illustration is by the fabulous Elora of Deer Alora and it definitely brightened my day considerably! Please go have a look around her blog

The Cupcake Polka

Aaand back to crummy pictures in my halls room, sorry guys. I can't believe I haven't worn this cardi yet! I bought it at the same time as this dress, and I'd been eyeing it for month before; so of course when it turned up in the sale I just couldn't resist! I love the way the dots are embroidered on, so cute. Today is a heavy 'research' day, I'm meeting up with some of my lovely classmates in an attempt to decipher how to do a Literature Review about Person-Centred Counselling - should be an interesting experience, since we're all pretty much clueless...

Hearts Day

No outfit post today! You'll have be satisfied with a picture of what my lovely Boyf got me for V-day;

Daisies and Wellies

It's been yet another gloriously sunny (if a little chilly) day, so once again Rosie and I ventured outside, primarily to take some photos on her film camera for one of her assignments (she wanted pattern; which is why I'm wearing this dress again) but also to take some of my outfit photos; I could get used to having my own personal photographer, hehe ^_^ Nothing much planned for today, I woke up late, baked some cookies (they were yum) aaaand that's about it. Nothing much to do for the rest of the day either, nice and relaxing. Despite the sun it was ever so muddy, as it was yesterday, hence my lovely pink raincloud wellies so my docs don't get too dirty!

Bright Day

It's lovely and bright out today so Rosie and I decided to have a little 'round-campus photography adventure, and once again I coerced her into helping with my outfit photos, hehe ♥ I'm adorned with a huge variety of patterns to reflect the bright weather; leopard print, floral, checked! I was contemplating patterned tights but that might have been a little overkill, I think. I spent this morning stressing out about this 'literature review' I have to write for Intro to Research; has anyone done one of these and could possibly help me out? I still don't quite understand what one is, it's going a little over my head if I'm honest!

Monochromal

These amazing photos are courtesy of the lovely Rosie, they make my own efforts pale in comparison. She's going to be a famous photographer one day, I know it ♥ today we're heading back into town, as due to a powercut all the shops ended up shut yesterday, meaning we didn't get to finish off our shopping trip or even book Rosie's tattoo; however, I did nab this cutie dress from the Primark rails along with this necklace and a couple other bits and pieces. It's longer that I'm used to, and with my Docs it feels very 90s grunge!

Double Flora

This dress is my latest eBay find. I've been after it literally since it came out (a year ago?) because at the time I couldn't get to any Primarks. I've seen the new -very similar - dress in a slightly different., more monotone colour but the lovely colour was one of the first things that drew my eye to the dress; I swear last summer half the girls I walked past were wearing this! I was green with envy. But now it's all mine so I'm happy, there's something so satisfying about finding something you really want on eBay for a fraction of the price. Today I'm off to town with two of my future housemates, one of whom is booking her tattoo today, her first ever. Super exciting! Oh, please excuse my slightly scrubby floor, I need to hoover; and it's not the nicest carpet anyway.

True Blue

A bit of a quick back-to-basics outfit post today; I wasn't sure whether I liked this outfit or not (it's mostly for comfort purposes); it's very blue! But yes, I think I do like it actually. It's so sad going back to halls-room pictures after such lovely outdoor photos, ick. This dress is still one of my favourites, such a lovely pattern. It's a shame that it's so short, it looks a little bum-scraping without jeans. This necklace is part of the Pass It Forward project (which I need to get to work on soon! no more procrastinating for me!) it's from the lovely Trees and it's just so me! I adore it. Oh, and there's been a mini restock of my blog shop, be sure to check it out :3
