If you've read your blog for a while you will know of Cedric. Also known as a Canon 1100D, he's my trusty 'blog camera' sidekick and has been responsible for any of my (non-phone) photos for the past few months. I'm not ready to upgrade personally (through money more than anything else, anyone want to gift me a couple thousand maybe?), but I've been lusting over these DSLR's on Jessops a little bit. It's not cheating, I promise! Just taking a look at the competition...

I love how you've named your camera!! Think I'm gonna name mine as well now!! Mine's a Canon 350D (I think). I bought it off a friend recently and it never leaves my side :) xx
ReplyDeleteThe photo quality totally makes up for carrying a bulky camera around with you, doesn't it? I need to get a pretty case for mine! xx
DeleteI've got the Canon 550D. I used to have the 1000D, which I believe was the predecessor to the one you have now. xx
ReplyDeleteOoh, jealous! I want a camera that fancy one day ;) x
DeleteMine is a 1000D - I know sod all about cameras but it does the trick!
ReplyDeleteSo many people with Canons :) I'm glad it works for you x
DeleteI got a dslr (Nikon d3100) a few months back and I wouldn't say it's revolutionised my blog/world, although I do find it handier for taking pics of my nephews who never stay still long enough for a decent shot. For blogging, I sometimes grow a little frustrated with it especially on close-ups of beauty products (it'll soften bits I want sharp), but that's probably more down to me being a crap photographer and not knowing the camera inside out yet. It was a big decision for me to fork out that much money for it though and I'm glad I did.
ReplyDeleteI think I enjoy using Cedric so much because I did A-Level Photography and I really enjoyed using the DSLRs we could loan out then; and I learnt to use one entirely manually through doing that course. Your photos are great, I don't think you are crap at all!! xx
