When Essie first started making its rounds in the blogosphere, I was a little bit of a sceptic. In general, I stuck to my Barry M polishes and every so often a bit of collection 2000. However, I made a complete 180 when I brought my first polish; Mojito Madness. From there my collection has amassed to a grand total of 6 and I have no plans of stopping! Though they are very expensive compared to some polishes I do find them preferable in texture, drying time and lasting time in comparison to even more expensive polishes like OPI. The more pastel and neutral shades, in particular, go on very creamy without any streaks and the consistency makes it easier to make a neat job of it all. The only downside is it does feel there is a little less variety and originality in shades than other brands, but this is changing all the time. I'm definitely an Essie convert!

I just started buying OPI and loved the texture an smoothness of how it went on - and I only needed one coat. After reading your post I will defiantly try Essie. Hopefully their colour range will expand soon -the more outrageous the better!
